OshSU Boxers Shine at 2025 Universiade in Bishkek
The 2025 Universiade is currently taking place in Bishkek, featuring student athletes from universities across the country. Osh State University has demonstrated impressive results in the boxing competitions.
Bilol Karimzhanov, representing OshSU, claimed the gold medal in the 71 kg weight class, earning the title of champion. Teammates Nurislam Amatbekov, Islombek Turgunov, and Bayaman Azizbek uulu secured silver medals, while Zhandarbek Rasulov, Azat Abdykadyrov, Aktilek Kanybek uulu, Farhad Abdumanabaev, and Asadbek Akbaraliev took bronze.
Thanks to their strong individual performances, the OshSU boxing team placed third overall in the team rankings.
The Universiade, which runs from March 12 to April 25, features competitions in 15 different sports and brings together student athletes from universities across Kyrgyzstan.
