A new Education and Research Center focused on climate technology, energy efficiency, and engineering systems will be established at Osh State University to train highly skilled specialists.
On April 29, Osh State University and PolyTechnology—the official distributor of LG Electronics in Kyrgyzstan—signed a memorandum of cooperation. The agreement outlines the creation of a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Academy at the university. The initiative aims to train qualified engineers for the construction sector in southern Kyrgyzstan and enhance the professional development of industry specialists.
The signing ceremony was attended by a delegation from PolyTechnology led by Japar Usenov, LG Electronics’ official representative in Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Usenov, and Osh State University Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov.
The academy will feature cutting-edge LG climate control equipment and software compatible with Building Information Modeling (BIM). Training will be offered both in-person and online, with support from LG’s international academies. Aligned with sustainable development principles, the academy will reinvest revenue from its courses into further program development and faculty training.
The new HVAC Academy is expected to play a vital role in strengthening vocational education in Kyrgyzstan’s regions and advancing the country’s construction industry.
