The Industrial and Pedagogical College of Osh State University has begun operating in a new format. The college is equipped with modern facilities and has introduced a training system that combines study with production. This was announced by the college's director, Mirlanbek Manashov.

According to him, the project was implemented with financial support from the Asian Development Bank. The total investment amounted to 68 million soms, which made it possible to build a modern educational building, dormitories, classrooms and the necessary technical equipment.

The college offers training in seven specialisations. All of these specialisations are funded by the Asian Development Bank. Our main goal is to train competent specialists with professional skills that meet national and international standards and modern requirements. The college strives to become a competitive educational institution recognised in Kyrgyzstan and around the world," said Manashov.

He noted that the college's mission is to provide high-quality professional education that takes into account the socio-economic needs of the country and the region.

The main objectives of the college are:

Training specialists in secondary vocational education who meet the requirements of society and the country;

Continuous development of material and technical resources;

Organising the educational process in accordance with state standards;

Strengthening social partnerships with employers and stakeholders;

Promoting the successful employment of graduates and creating conditions for students to finance their own studies.

According to college student Sezim Nurmanbetova, the college also provides opportunities for students to work while studying.

‘We are currently sewing medical gowns. My tuition costs 25,000 soms. I work part-time outside of school and earn about 25,000 soms a month. This allows us to pay for our education and help our families. The main goal of the college is to teach students to live independently and get a profession,’ she said.
