Students met with manaschi Nurbek Talantbekov

On April 6, a meeting with Nurbek Talantbekov, Director of the Kyrgyz National “Manas” Theatre and manaschi, was held with students at Osh State University.

The event was organized at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of the educational institution. Nurbek Talantbekov spoke about the distinctive features of the manaschi art, as well as the historical and cultural significance of the epic, and shared his creative journey. He also performed excerpts from the recitation of the Manas epic, leaving a strong impression on the students. In turn, the students asked questions and received extensive information about the art of manaschi, stage performance, and the development of national culture.

The meeting was organized in order to implement President Sadyr Japarov’s decree “National Spirit – Global Heights.” Through this initiative, it is planned to promote national values, enrich the spiritual world of young people, and increase interest in the Manas epic, which is the great heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
