On April 21, Osh State University hosted a festival titled “Culture of the Peoples of the World,” where students presented the traditions of about 15 nationalities.
The event was attended by consuls of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan, representatives of international organizations, university rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, and students.
Participants presented exhibitions featuring national costumes, traditional foods, customs, and arts. On stage, dances, songs, and theatrical performances representing the cultures of India, Germany, Spain, China, South Korea, United States, France, Japan, and other countries were performed. Winners were selected by a special commission and awarded diplomas and prizes.
The festival was organized by the International Relations Department to strengthen intercultural dialogue, broaden students’ worldviews, and promote respect for cultural diversity.
