A new training and practical base for construction students is planned to be established on the campus of Osh State University. The project will be implemented in partnership with the Guangzhou Urban Construction Institute of China.
In April 2025, representatives of Osh State University visited Guangzhou on a working trip, where they ознакомились with the institute’s training and practical base and its system for preparing construction specialists. On April 20, representatives of the Guangzhou Urban Construction Institute visited Osh State University to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, issues such as establishing the base on the university campus, introducing a dual education system in construction, and exchanging professional experience were discussed.
The planned new base will allow students to develop practical skills alongside theoretical knowledge. In addition, according to the agreement, opportunities will be created for students to learn the Chinese language and for graduates to gain employment. Currently, nearly 200 Chinese students are studying at Osh State University.
Representative of the institute Zhao Tuanz stated that this was his first visit to Osh State University and noted that cooperation is planned to be developed in four directions.
“Renewing agreements, educating students in both countries, preparing for international Olympiads, and building a training and practical base on the university campus are among the main directions,” he said.
A Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty has been operating at Osh State University since 2013. It prepares bachelor’s and master’s degree students in linguistics, Chinese studies, and philology.
