Pasanova’s 70th Anniversary and Book Launch
On April 23, Osh State University hosted a literary evening titled “A Life Devoted to Literature” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s honored cultural figure, poet, writer, translator, and journalist Zinaikan Pasanova.
The event was attended by public officials, writers, scholars, teachers, and students. A video about Pasanova’s life and work was shown, and actors performed scenes based on her literary works. Guests highlighted her contribution to Kyrgyz literature and journalism. A scientific presentation on her literary mastery was also delivered.
Young performers recited her poems, and the presentation of her poetry collection “Letter to My Son” took place. Pasanova is the author of several well-known books, and her works have been translated into Russian, Uzbek, Turkish, and Kazakh.
