Academic Mobility: OshSU student studies in Türkiye
Ermek Kapashev, a 5th-year student of the Faculty of Medicine, is currently studying at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University in Türkiye within the framework of the academic mobility program. He went to the university for the fall semester of 2025.
According to the student, Türkiye’s medical education system is one of the leading systems in the world. Accordingly, all necessary conditions have been created for students at the university. Most classes are held at the university hospital, where he is gaining practical experience through direct work with patients. He also expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Osh State University and to Aynura Kulnazarova, a leading specialist of the Ranking Department, for contributing to the creation of such opportunities.
In 2023, a cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities. Within its framework, academic mobility programs for teachers and students are being implemented, and joint scientific research is being conducted.
In October 2025, an online meeting was held between the Rector of Osh State University, Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, and the Rector of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, Hasan Uslu. During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding cooperation between the two universities, implementing new joint projects, and conducting scientific research.
In addition, since 2025, Osh State University lecturers have been regularly participating in the international symposium “Turkic World” organized by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University and have been contributing to the development of scientific cooperation.
