The Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation has approved the minimum passing scores for admission to higher education institutions for the 2026–2027 academic year.
According to Ainura Isiralova, Head of the Department of Higher, Secondary and Postgraduate Professional Education, the minimum score for the General Republican Test (GRT) remains 110 for both state-funded and contract-based admissions in most academic fields, while the subject test minimum remains 60.
For teacher education programs, applicants seeking state-funded places must score at least 130 on the main test, while those applying on a contract basis must score 115. The minimum subject test score remains 60.
For healthcare-related specialties, applicants need at least 120 points on the main test for state-funded admission and 110 for contract-based admission. The subject test minimum remains 60.
For agriculture and agricultural sciences, the minimum main test score is 100 for both state-funded and contract-based admissions, while the subject test minimum remains 60.
In addition, applicants with Group I or II disabilities, persons with disabilities since childhood, orphans, and children deprived of parental care (except those applying for medical and pharmaceutical specialties) are required to score at least 90 points on the main test for both state-funded and contract-based admission.
