By the resolution of the Academic Council of Osh State University protocol No. 7 dated February 28, 2020, the Institute for Advanced Studies was established. In accordance with the order of the rector of Osh State University No. 564 of 07/03/2020. Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Akkulov Abdizhapar Uraimovich was appointed its director. The regulation on the Institute for Advanced Studies was considered at a meeting of the Academic Council, protocol dated November 6, 2020 No. 9, approved by order of the rector No. 713FKh D / 20 dated November 17, 2020. and issued Bulletin No. 37.

The Institute for Advanced Studies is a self-supporting structural subdivision of Osh State University. The regulation was developed in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education”, the Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. 53 of February 3, 2004) and the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (No. 786/1 of June 20, 2017). ), the Charter and the Collective Agreement of Osh State University, as well as other regulatory legal acts regulating additional professional education and advanced training. At the meeting of the administrative council of Osh State University No. 12 dated 12/18/2020, a decision was made on the issue “On the general goals, objectives of the Institute for Advanced Studies and conducting advanced training courses for university employees in January 2021”. According to this decision, the preparation of plans, organization, and conducting joint work with the relevant structural divisions to conduct advanced training and conduct advanced training courses for university employees in January 2021. The Institute organizes the necessary advanced training courses for Osh State University employees and other students.

The Institute organizes advanced training for employees of Osh State University and other students of relevant advanced training courses with the assistance of the relevant structural divisions of Osh State University.

The professional development of Osh State University employees and other students of relevant advanced training courses is aimed at improving and (or) obtaining new competencies necessary for professional activities and (or) improving the professional level (updating theoretical and practical knowledge) within the existing qualifications, as well as mastering modern methods of solving the tasks assigned to Osh State University, including within the framework of fulfilling the requirements of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on additional professional education.

In a short period from the beginning of its activity, the Institute has achieved the organization of advanced training courses for employees of Osh State University, as well as a number of universities such as OshTU, KUU and secondary schools such as the Central Asian College in Mailuu-Suu, Kochkor-Ata College, Osh Innovation College "Muras" and school teachers in Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad regions.

Along with this, taking into account the importance of continuous education for society, in accordance with its modern current requirements and the related resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, approving the Regulations “On additional professional education” No. 53 of 03.02.2004. the upcoming work plans include actions that ensure, together with the relevant government authorities, the maximum use of our capabilities in order to improve skills in organizing training courses in various areas, as well as internships in leading educational institutions of the country, partner educational institutions of near and far abroad and manufacturing industries for employees and specialists, workers at state enterprises-organizations, in private sectors.

To accomplish these tasks, through the Institute for Advanced Studies, we have all the necessary conditions to take into our own hands the full training and advanced training of many workers and specialists working in various sectors of the national economy of the public and private sectors, not only in the city of Osh, or the region but also in the entire southern region republics. More precisely, there is a modern educational and material base, a high-level faculty, the best methodologists and lecturers, and constant and faithful foreign, as well as experienced, long-term partners working in the industrial sectors of our country.

To achieve the above goals and ensure political stability, a contribution to the implementation of the most relevant programs aimed at developing the economy of the country and regions, the creation and signing of a bilateral Memorandum of February 25, 2021, between the authorized representative Kyrgyz Republic's Government in the Osh region Abduraimov Zh and the rector of Osh State University, professor Kozhobekov K.G. conditioned the Institute to further expand its activities.
