“Issyk-Kul State University Wins ‘Ala-Too Spring – 2026’ Festival”

On April 29–30, the republican competition “Ala-Too Spring – 2026” was held at Osh State University.

This year, 14 student teams from higher education institutions across the country participated in the festival, competing in vocal art, folklore performance, classical instrument performance, and choreography. The final round and gala concert took place on April 30 at the stage of the Osh National Drama Theater, where the winners were announced.

The Grand Prix of the festival was awarded to Issyk-Kul State University.

2nd place – Kyrgyz Economic University named after M. Ryskulbekov
3rd place – Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev

Classical Instrument Performance:
1st place – Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev
2nd place – Osh State Pedagogical University
3rd place – Kyrgyz-Korean College

Vocal Art:
1st place – International University named after K. Toktomamatov
2nd place – Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov
3rd place – Osh State Pedagogical University

Choreography:
1st place – Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov
2nd place – Osh State Pedagogical University
3rd place – Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. Yeltsin

During the closing ceremony, Osh State University officially handed over the hosting responsibility of the next “Ala-Too Spring” festival to the Naryn Institute of Kyrgyz National University.

The “Ala-Too Spring” festival has been held since 1966. The competition is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, and its main goal is to identify and support young talents in the field of arts. The prize fund of the festival amounted to 1 million soms.
