OshSU Faculty Members Attend Erasmus+ SILKWAY Meeting in Rome

From September 14 to 22, the next international meeting of the Steering Committee of the European Union’s Erasmus+ SILKWAY (CBHE) project was held at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.

The meeting was attended by Professor Idirisbek Kenjaev of the Department of Energy at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Information Technologies of Osh State University, Associate Professors Zaripbek Aidarbekov and Tugolbai Matisakov, and project members Najimiddin Babaev and Zaripa Asanova. They shared the university’s experience and proposals with international partners.

European and Central Asian partners discussed the development and implementation of modern curricula on renewable energy sources, including green energy, the activities of newly established laboratories at universities, and ways to strengthen international exchange opportunities for students and teachers.

The SILKWAY project is being implemented from 2024 to 2027 and aims to develop innovative teaching methods in higher education and update educational content on green energy and renewable energy sources.

OshSU is also carrying out practical activities within the project. The Department of Energy has been equipped with modern educational and laboratory equipment, enabling students to gain practical knowledge in solar and wind energy, photovoltaic energy, hydropower, and energy efficiency.
