Osh State University Boosts Sports Development
On January 24, the rector of Osh State University, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, held a meeting with departments, faculty, and coaches involved in physical education and sports at the university.
The meeting focused on the regulations of a newly established sports club aimed at promoting and advancing physical education and sports within the university. This club oversees the coordination and effective management of all sports-related activities on campus.
The rector also shared his vision for upcoming sports events, the organization of physical education classes, and the role of educators in defining and contributing to scientific activities.
“We have ambitious goals to establish professional clubs in several sports and achieve significant success at both national and international levels,” Kozhobekov stated. “Every lecturer has a role to play in making these plans a reality.”
During the meeting, letters of appreciation were awarded to lecturers and athletes who have made notable contributions to the development of sports at the university.
Currently, Osh State University hosts five professional clubs and 22 sports sections across 16 disciplines.
