In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, Altai State University is launching an international educational initiative. As part of this campaign, an online test titled “Know the History of the Great Victory” will be available starting in late February.

The first event will take place on February 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the conference hall of the Historical and Legal Institute at Osh State University, located at 17A Razzakov Street, Osh.

The test will focus on the involvement of Central Asian countries, which were part of the Soviet Union, in the Great Patriotic War. Participants will answer questions about the military divisions formed in the region, the number of soldiers mobilized, as well as notable war heroes and their achievements. Additionally, the test will cover not only combat operations but also the wartime contributions of Central Asia’s home front, including the republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

This initiative provides an opportunity for students from various countries to connect and gain a deeper understanding of Central Asia’s role in the war. All participants who complete the test will receive special certificates, and top scorers will be awarded prizes from the organizers.

Students of Osh State University are encouraged to actively participate in this significant event.

Organizers: Altai State University, the Altai State Scientific Center for Turkology and Altai Studies “Big Altai,” the branch of the Russian Historical Society in Altai Krai, and the Altai branch of Sberbank of Russia.
