On January 23, Osh State University hosted another session of the “School of Constitutionalism” organized by the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was aimed at deepening constitutional knowledge among students and faculty members in the field of law. It was attended by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court Emil Oskenbaev, judges of the Court, the leadership of Osh State University, and faculty members.
At the opening ceremony, Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of constitutional education in building a rule-of-law state. He noted that on February 27, 2025, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the Constitutional Court and leading higher education institutions that train legal professionals. He emphasized that this cooperation would contribute to the development of legal education and the training of future lawyers.
Emil Oskenbaev delivered a presentation on the role of the Constitution in a rule-of-law state and the significance of constitutionalism in ensuring sustainable societal development.
Judge of the Constitutional Court Chinara Aidarbekova spoke about the place of the Constitutional Court within the system of state bodies, trends in the development of law in the context of globalization, and the importance of education in shaping legal consciousness.
Judge Meergul Bobukeeva presented on legal principles and legal doctrines applied by constitutional review bodies when assessing the compliance of normative legal acts with the Constitution.
Each presentation was followed by a question-and-answer session, during which participants received answers to their questions. In addition, a video about the activities of the Constitutional Court was shown as part of the event.
At the conclusion of the “School of Constitutionalism,” participants were awarded certificates.
