Conference on the Role of Digital Technologies in the Modern Global Economy

At the international scientific and practical conference held at the university on May 19–20, scholars from Russia, Hungary, Mongolia, Türkiye, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan discussed digital geo-economics.

The conference addressed the development of digital geo-economics, digitalization in various sectors of the economy, cybersecurity, blockchain, digital systems, and the training of economist-IT specialists. Special sessions were organized in each field, and scientific reports were presented. The conference proceedings will be published in a Springer book series indexed in the Scopus database.

According to the participants, digital technologies occupy a key place in the modern global economy, while information is considered a strategic resource. Cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence, Big Data, blockchain, and digital platforms are creating a new architecture of the global market, transforming financial, accounting, and management systems.

The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Economics, Business and Management and the 70th anniversary of Professor Zhusupzhan Turgunbaev. During the conference, the institute’s best teachers were awarded the “Glory of Osh State University” badge for their contribution to education and public service.

The event was organized to scientifically study modern changes in finance, accounting, management, and innovations in the digital economy, as well as to develop new practical solutions aimed at sustainable development.
