Presentation of Journalist Chynara Kaparova’s Book
On May 20, Osh State University hosted the ceremonial presentation of the book “National Broadcasting Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic (1926–2026)” by renowned journalist, announcer, and Candidate of Philological Sciences Chynara Kaparova.
The event was attended by Kenzhebek Abdyldaev, Head of the Social Development Department of the Presidential Representative Office in Osh Region; Nurlan Zakirov, Head of the Social Development Department of Osh City Hall; journalists of the city; Nurzhamal Mapaeva, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Youth Policy of Osh State University; as well as teachers and students.
Participants exchanged opinions on the history, current state, and future of Kyrgyz journalism and discussed the significance of the new publication.
The book tells the history of the National Broadcasting Corporation. It reflects the stages of formation and development of radio and television, the period from the Soviet era to independence, as well as the corporation’s state and public status.
According to the author, the book was prepared on the basis of archival materials, personal practical experience, and collected audio and video sources. It also analyzes trends in television development in the context of modern digital technologies and examines the current state of broadcasting corporations.
The meeting was organized by the Department of Journalism of the Institute of Pedagogy, Arts and Journalism.
