OshSU Students Win Silver at International Startup Competition
Osh State University students Meerimai Askarova and Nargiza Adieva won the silver medal at an international startup competition held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on June 28–29.
Both students are enrolled in the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence program. They presented their project, "A New Perspective on Rice Fields," which uses intelligent technologies to monitor pests in rice cultivation.
The competition brought together more than 1,000 students from 281 universities across China and the five Central Asian countries. The event aimed to promote innovative youth projects, support the commercialization of research, and strengthen international cooperation in agriculture and food security.
