On October 9, Osh State University held a ceremony to mark Teachers’ Day. The event was attended by the university’s leadership and academic staff.

Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov congratulated all staff on their professional holiday and praised their contributions to education and science. He noted that the university’s achievements were made possible by the dedicated work, professionalism, and significant role of its academic staff in educating and mentoring younger generations.

“In today’s rapidly changing world, the responsibility of teachers has grown even greater. Digital technologies, artificial intelligence, new professions, and modern teaching methods require educators to constantly seek new knowledge and adapt. You are at the forefront of these changes, providing young people not only with knowledge but also encouraging them to think independently, pursue learning, develop patriotism, and understand their responsibilities to society,” the rector said.

During the ceremony, a number of staff members received awards in recognition of their many years of dedicated service, contributions to education and science, and role in the university’s development. More than 100 employees were honored.

The awards included the Ministry of Health’s “Honored Worker of Healthcare” badge and Certificate of Honor, a Certificate of Honor from the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in Osh Region, Certificates of Honor from the Osh City Council and Osh Mayor’s Office, the “Honored Worker of OshSU” badge, as well as OshSU Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation.
