Sumaya Kaliyeva, a student at the College of International Educational Programs at Osh State University, emerged victorious at the international kickboxing championship in Tashkent. Competing in the 54-kilogram weight category, Kaliyeva faced an athlete from Uzbekistan in the finals and secured a win with a score of 12:7.
The championship took place from October 25 to 28, featuring participants from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
Having practiced kickboxing for two years, Sumaya is a two-time champion of Kyrgyzstan in her weight class and holds the title of candidate for master of sports. She is currently pursuing a degree in translation at the college.
