On December 18, the Ambassador of the European Union to the Kyrgyz Republic, Rémi Duflo, paid a working visit to Osh State University.
The delegation included Nurlan Omurov, Deputy Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Amenis Gerin, Erasmus+ Program Coordinator at Campus France in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, faculty members and students were informed in detail about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in education, science, and innovation.
Ambassador Rémi Duflo noted that 25 higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan currently participate in the Erasmus+ program and emphasized that Osh State University is among the most active and largest partner universities.
Amenis Gerin highlighted prospects for cooperation with French universities and the development of academic mobility between Europe and Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the visit, the guests toured the Digital Innovation Center, Data Processing Center, Information and Education Center, and the Future Generation Hub, established under the Green KG project. They also visited the Faculty of International Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine, and the university clinic, where they met with faculty members and students.
Osh State University is currently implementing several Erasmus+ projects, including TUTORIAL, DERECKA, HARMONEE, BERNICA, DEFA, EPCA, PAWER, Green KG, and KyrMEDU. These projects contribute to the development of modern educational technologies and innovative approaches in higher education.
