Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty Students Shine at Competition

The final round of the 12th Republican Competition of Chinese Song Performance among university students was recently held in Bishkek at Bishkek State University.

Students from various higher education institutions demonstrated their talents by performing Chinese songs. The winner of the competition was Erbol Keldibaev, a student of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of Osh State University, who performed the Chinese song “You in Youth” and received high praise from the jury.

In the same competition, another student of the faculty, Musa Azamatbek uulu, won second place. Muslima Jamalidinova was nominated for “Best Performance” for her confident stage presence and creative abilities.

The competition took place on December 12 at Bishkek Humanitarian University and was attended by students from Confucius Institutes across the country. The winners were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.

In addition to comprehensive academic education, students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of Osh State University have broad opportunities for creative development. For example, there are clubs dedicated to playing the guzheng musical instrument, kung fu, calligraphy, Chinese character writing, and dance.

This competition, organized by the Confucius Institutes, is an annual event aimed at promoting the Chinese language and culture among the youth of Kyrgyzstan.
