At the republican exhibition-competition marking the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, Kimiya Torogeldieva, an associate professor at Osh State University’s Institute of Pedagogy, Art, and Journalism, earned third place.
The award ceremony took place on December 20 at the Gapar Aitiev National Art Museum in Bishkek. Torogeldieva received a prize of 150,000 soms for her decorative and applied art piece, Uzak Zhol.
The competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy in collaboration with the Union of Artists, featured 232 submissions across fine art, sculpture, graphics, and decorative and applied art.
