Students specializing in Information Technology at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technology of Osh State University recently visited the Alay district.
During their visit, they gained hands-on experience by repairing computers and installing software in local schools, kindergartens, and rural communities.
As part of their internship, the students also conducted workshops in village schools, helping teachers enhance their computer literacy.
Accompanied by faculty members and the institute’s director, Bektur Azimov, the students engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions and received valuable guidance.
“This is the first time such a project is being carried out, initiated by the rector of Osh State University,” said Bektur Azimov. “We aim to expand this initiative to other regions. Strengthening ties with local communities is part of the university’s mission. Students not only apply their skills in real-life settings but also contribute to society while deepening their own learning.”
Currently, around 4,000 students are enrolled at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technology.
