2025: 419 Articles Published In Scopus-Indexed Journals
More than 10% of the scientific leaders of Kyrgyzstan work at Osh State University. Let us present this achievement in concrete figures.
Osh State University is one of the country’s leading universities in terms of the number of academic staff holding scientific degrees. In 2025, 5 doctoral dissertations and 39 candidate (PhD) dissertations were successfully defended. As a result, the total number of Candidates of Science (PhD) and Doctors of Science at the university reached 600.
In 2025, university researchers published 351 articles in scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database. Between 2021 and 2025, the total number of Scopus-indexed publications increased sixfold, reaching 931 articles.
Researchers from Osh State University rank third in Kyrgyzstan in terms of the number of scientific publications. Their work has appeared in leading international journals classified in Q1, Q2, and Q3 quartiles. The impact factor of the journal Bulletin of Osh State University continues to grow, and the university’s scientific achievements are gaining international recognition.
The university focuses its research activities on addressing socio-economic challenges. Over the past five years, projects totaling 51 million soms have been implemented through internal grant funding.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, the university implemented 30 innovative projects at the institutional level, as well as 3 national and 8 international projects. In line with the University 4.0 model, Osh State University has integrated industrial and scientific projects and has signed 8 cooperation agreements.
