Osh State University (OshSU) and Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) of Bashkortostan are planning to develop a joint dual-degree education program in general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, pharmacy, and public health.

This was announced on January 20 during the visit of a delegation led by Natalia Kudashkina, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of BSMU, to OshSU. The delegation met with OshSU Rector Kudaiberdy Kozhobekov. The meeting discussed cooperation in science and education, expansion of academic exchange programs for faculty and students, and the possibility of opening a BSMU branch at OshSU.

The delegation will stay at OshSU for three days. They will become familiar with the university’s medical infrastructure and work with a task group to launch the dual-degree program.

Bashkir State Medical University is one of the largest medical education centers in Russia. The university places an emphasis on international cooperation, admits students from abroad, and takes part in major scientific projects.

Cooperation between the two universities continues within the framework of the agreement reached at the Kyrgyz-Russian Education Forum held in Bishkek in 2025.
