Osh State University Holds Meeting on “The Sacred Path Walked by Ancestors”

Osh State University hosted a meeting titled “The Sacred Path Walked by Ancestors” on March 28. The event commenced with a reading from the Kyrgyz epic Manas and was organized in line with the presidential decree “National Spirit – World Heights.”

The meeting brought together officials from the presidential office in the Osh region, representatives from the Osh city hall and education department, as well as schoolteachers and university professors.

University Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov emphasized that the event aimed to promote the recently adopted decree. “Our goal is to disseminate and integrate the president’s decree into practice, encouraging engagement from society. At the next meeting, scholars will present in-depth reports on topics such as the state language, national ideology, economic development, and Kyrgyz history. As educators, we should not only listen but actively contribute to spreading and communicating the decree,” he stated.

During the conference, several academics delivered presentations:

  • Professor Gulina Zhamgyrchieva spoke on Manas as a Symbol of Human Values
  • Associate Professor Chynykhan Satybaldieva addressed The Preservation and Sustainability of Cultural Heritage in Kyrgyzstan in the Context of Globalization
  • Associate Professor Erlan Kamalov discussed The Path to Economic Development
  • Associate Professor Dinara Yzabekova explored The Rules of Public Education – A National Treasure

The conference concluded with a discussion session, and the speakers were presented with letters of appreciation.

Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs Mastura Sharipova noted that this was the first in a series of conferences aimed at promoting the presidential decree. “Today, we exchanged ideas on how to implement the decree’s ideological and strategic foundations to support national development. We will continue working in this direction,” she affirmed.

President Sadyr Japarov signed the decree On the Adoption of the National Path ‘National Inspiration – World Heights’ on December 18, 2024. The document outlines key ideological principles and strategic priorities for the country’s advancement.
