The history of Osh State University began in 1939 with the opening of the Osh Teachers' Institute. In 1951 it became a pedagogical institute, and in 1992 it became a university. Currently, Osh State University has 8 institutes, 4 faculties, 1 Higher School, 1 center for postgraduate continuous medical education, 6 colleges of secondary vocational education, 4 schools-gymnasiums, more than 30 educational and methodological, cultural and aesthetic, resource centers, laboratories, 10 student dormitories, 2 medical clinics, 1 primary education center, 1 kindergarten, 18 sports complexes, 1 startup center, 2 boarding houses.

OSHSU BUILDS NEW BUILDINGS AND STRENGTHENS THE EDUCATIONAL BASE.
 In recent years, OshSU has modernized more than 32 educational buildings, dormitories, other structures in accordance with the requirements of the time. Such structures not only expand the possibilities of the educational institution, but also add a new look to the architectural appearance of the city of Osh.

OSHSU HAS BECOME A LEADER IN ESTABLISHING INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

OshSU currently cooperates with 325 universities in 33 countries (America, Spain, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, China, Russia, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, etc.) and carries out activities on the basis of bilateral agreements in the field of academic mobility, educational programs of double diplomas, organization of guest and online lectures, implementation of joint international projects, scientific work.

INTRODUCTION OF EDUCATION WITH A DOUBLE DIPLOMA

 The educational institution has signed agreements with universities of Russia, Kazakhstan and China in 32 specialties and has developed curricula for the implementation of joint training programs and double diplomas. Currently, double degree programs in 22 specialties are being implemented.

OshSU IS THE INITIATOR OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ACADEMIC MOBILITY

Every year, about 1000 students (master's students), about 500 teachers undergo training and internships on academic mobility at universities in 33 countries of the world under the Erasmus+, Mevlan, ITEC, DAAD, Orkhun, SCO, "Osh Declaration" programs, etc.

OshSU-CENTER OF UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

The best students selected every year to stimulate students receive a presidential scholarship, 10 students receive a "nominal scholarship" of $1,200 annually, 22 students receive a scholarship from the Academic Council. In addition, scholarships "Top 20 students of OshSU" are awarded. Winners of Olympiads, international festivals, sports competitions are provided with specially established cash prizes. Also, students in need are supported in the amount of more than 5 million soms. The digital platform has been fully implemented in OshSU. The entire process from admission to graduation has been transferred to digital technologies. From the moment of obtaining a special status, the organization of the educational process at the university is carried out through the myedu educational process management platform, based on the principles of academic freedom. The common platforms of the educational institution will be integrated into the Electronic Campus system by 2026 to form an automated corporate data ecosystem.

ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE COUNTRY AND IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA

OshSU is an educational institution with a "special status" like 11 other state universities of the country. In accordance with this status, autonomy was granted both financially and administratively, starting with the creation of standards for educational programs. Our university, striving to reach the world level, ranked 260th out of 984 best universities in Asia in the prestigious international QS ranking and was among the 13 best universities out of 65 universities in Central Asia. OshSU received 4 stars in the international ranking of universities QS Stars, represented by the world's leading organization QS Quacquarelli Symonds, and joined the ranks of "four-star universities".

Osh State University took second place in the international rating" iaar Eurasian University Ranking (iaar EUR) - 2024". Thus, the university entered the top three leading universities in Eurasia. The results of the study on the compilation of the National Rating of Higher Educational Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic were published for the first time. Osh State University entered the top 5 of the overall rating with 415.84 points.

FROM EDUCATION TO PRODUCTION

OshSU successfully implements the collaboration of university-science-production-COMMERCIALIZATION to become a 4th generation university. Thus, together with the Chinese company Jiangsu huibo Robotics, the Next Generation Hub was opened. In addition, the Central Asian Innovation Center for Critical Minerals, the Central Asian Center for Satellite Analysis and Remote Sensing, the consulting center for the preservation of mountain ecosystems and green innovations in the environmental sphere are actively working. The business park of OshSU, focused on solving socio-economic problems, also teaches young people entrepreneurial skills. A veterinary clinic has been opened in OshSU, which provides all kinds of services - ultrasound and laboratory tests, surgical operations, vaccination of animals and artificial insemination of animals. In the field of air pollution research, OshSU together with Japan cooperates in the project "Development of an air pollution assessment system based on satellite data and regional modeling of chemical transport and creation of an Air Pollution Research Center". In order to build a power plant that generates electricity from waste, OshSU is implementing a special project with the Chinese company Xiamen jinming Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd.
