The results of the republican competition organized by the Ministry of Education to select authors for writing new-generation “Kyrgyz Language” textbooks have been announced. Based on the results, two teachers from Osh State University were included among the authors.
In particular, Asylkan Mamatova and Zarina Abdysheva were selected to write textbooks for teaching the Kyrgyz language as a native language.
The competition was held as part of the country’s efforts to modernize the education system and transition to a 12-year education model. As a result, 13 authors were selected for the native language subject, and nine authors for the second language subject. The applicants’ works were evaluated by a jury consisting of scholars and experienced teachers, taking into account their professional level, methodological preparation, and compliance with the new educational content.
Since the author team was not fully formed during the previous competition, an additional competition was announced and new authors were selected. Currently, the ministry continues its work on developing new national textbooks in Kyrgyz language, geography, and history.
