Teachers of Osh State University presented interactive methods for teaching national traditions through the Epic of Manas at an international conference.
The event was held on April 2–4 in Tashkent within the framework of an academic mobility program. The conference was organized by the Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan to mark the 90th anniversary of renowned scholar and academician Tora Mirzaev.
The conference titled “Comparative Study of Turkic Peoples’ Folklore: Local Features and Scientific-Theoretical Approaches” brought together scholars, researchers, and educators from various countries to discuss cultural heritage and current issues in education.
At the conference, OshSU teachers Gulzat Tolenova, Gulmira Imanalieva, and Tashkhon Batyrova delivered presentations. They proposed effective ways to teach national traditions through the Epic of Manas using modern pedagogical technologies. They also emphasized that interactive methods help increase students’ interest in lessons.
During the event, participants exchanged international experience and shared new scientific and pedagogical ideas.
