A cultural and academic event titled “When a Language Lives, a Nation Lives; When a Nation Lives, a State Lives” was held at the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology and Journalism.

The event was attended by Azamat Boltaev, Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Osh; Kursantbek Attokurov, Vice-Rector for External Relations; faculty members from several universities in Uzbekistan; and students.

The programme opened with an international academic seminar titled “Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the Integration of Turkic Peoples: Science, Education, Culture and Art.” Presentations explored the history of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, the development of national languages, and the shared spiritual values of the two peoples. Master classes on the historical development of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek languages were also held, alongside an exhibition of traditional crafts from both nations.

The event continued with a literary and musical programme titled “The Songs and Melodies of Two Peoples, the Music of One Heart,” featuring songs, instrumental performances, dances, and artistic readings dedicated to the homeland.

The event was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and the 37th anniversary of the establishment of state language status in both countries. It was organized by the Alisher Navoi Center for Uzbek Language and Literature at Osh State University.
