“Man Learns Goodness from Man”: Literary Evening Celebrates Chyngyz Aitmatov’s Legacy

On December 13, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication hosted a literary and musical evening to celebrate the 96th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov’s birth. The event, titled “Man Learns Goodness from Man,” featured a photo exhibition showcasing the works of the renowned writer, along with performances of scenes from his literature.

Students brought to life characters from Aitmatov’s notable works, including “Mother Earth,” “The White Steamship,” “To Have and to Lose,” “Jamila,” and “The First Teacher.”

Organized by the Department of World Literature, the evening aimed to deepen students’ appreciation of Aitmatov’s legacy and inspire them to embrace and practice acts of kindness.
