On December 13, Osh City Hall hosted an event at the Babur Osh State Uzbek Music and Drama Theater to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast’s establishment, the 35th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Republic’s “Kyrgyz State Language Law,” and National Literature Day.
Murataliev, Chairman of the National Commission on State Language Policy, highlighted the “Kyrgyz Studies” curriculum and initiatives promoting the state language’s development. Educational institutions showcased exhibits illustrating the history of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, the evolution of the state language, and national heritage. Under the guidance of Zholdoshbek Botonoev, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies at Osh State University, an exhibition displayed photographs of individuals from the 1920s-1930s.
In recognition of its efforts in advancing the state language, Osh City Hall awarded Osh State University the title of “Best Educational Institution.”
