The 32nd Spartakiad for faculty and staff of Osh State University has concluded, featuring teams from institutes, colleges, lyceums, and university structures. Participants, divided into under-40 and over-40 age groups, competed in eight sports disciplines, with mast-wrestling introduced as a new category this year.

The competition ran from November 29 to December 25, culminating in a ceremony on December 25. The Industrial and Pedagogical College secured 1st place, followed by STEM Innovation College in 2nd place, and the Institute of Economics, Business, and Management in 3rd place.

The awards ceremony was attended by the university’s rector, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the Trade Union chairman, Absamat Sattarov, and faculty members. The winning teams and standout players received diplomas, trophies, and cash prizes from the university and the professional association. Special nominations, including “Most Active Supporters,” “Best Parade Uniform,” “Hero of the Spartakiad,” “Team of Sports Solidarity,” “Best Female Athlete,” and “Best Male Athlete,” were presented on behalf of the rector.

The Spartakiad, held for the 32nd time, aims to promote physical fitness, encourage sports participation among the teaching staff, and foster unity and camaraderie within the university community. This year’s prize fund exceeded 250,000 soms.
