Osh State University held an open boxing championship

From March 11 to March 14, Osh State University hosted an Open Boxing Championship in Osh. The event took place at the Osh City Boxing and Weightlifting School and featured not only university students but also boxers from other higher education institutions in the city.

A total of 98 participants competed across 13 weight categories. During the competition, two students from Osh State University were officially presented with the previously awarded title of “Master of Sports of Kyrgyzstan” by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov.

The success of Osh State University graduate Munarbek Seiitbek uulu at the Paris Olympics has clearly motivated many young athletes. Compared to last year, we saw a noticeable increase in participation in the championship. Our university continues to support all types of sports, and this time, we also sponsored the open championship,” the rector stated.

The winners received cash prizes, awards, diplomas, and various gifts.
