Russian environmental experts conducted a training session at Osh State University focused on advancing environmental initiatives within academic institutions.
The first day of the training was held at Kyrgyz-Turkish School No. 52 in Osh, involving teachers, students, and parents. Participants explored topics such as the human role in climate change and the effects of climate on the environment. On the second day, discussions shifted to addressing environmental challenges at Osh State University. Researchers, educators, university students, and environmental specialists from Osh participated, with over ten presentations delivered.
Elena Garohova, director of the ECO movement, met with Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov to discuss potential collaboration areas. The meeting culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Osh State University and the ECO environmental organization. This partnership will include future initiatives with Russian counterparts aimed at furthering sustainable practices.
