
On May 12, Rector of Osh State University Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov attended an international summit in Xinjiang, China, where he highlighted the university’s ongoing collaboration with educational institutions and organizations in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. He emphasized achievements in education, academic mobility, and joint scientific initiatives.
As part of the visit, talks were held regarding the construction of a Fifth Laboratory in collaboration between the Second Hospital of Xinjiang University and the Medical Center of Osh State University. Plans were also made to enhance the exchange of medical expertise and expand academic mobility for medical residents.
The summit, titled "Cooperation between China and Central Asia: Production, Education, Scientific Research, and Applied Technologies," brought together Central Asian education ministers, Chinese university leaders, and representatives of international organizations. Participants addressed regional development and security cooperation. The event concluded with the signing of several new agreements, including plans for the establishment of research institutes and the launch of joint projects.
