The “100 Women Leaders of Kyrgyzstan” program, designed to foster leadership skills among women, has officially entered its active phase. The inaugural module, titled “Fundamentals of State and Municipal Governance,” took place in Osh from May 16 to 18.
Over the course of three days, participants received both theoretical instruction and practical training on the functioning of state and local government structures. Among the attendees was Mastura Sharipova, Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs at Osh State University.
The initiative is led by the Agency for Civil Service and Local Self-Government under the Cabinet of Ministers, with support from the Academy of Public Administration under the President and the Academy of Local Governance of Central Asia.
Future modules are planned as part of the broader program, providing continued opportunities for participants to enhance their public administration competencies and prepare for leadership roles.
Launched in December 2024, the program targets the professional development of 100 women included in the personnel reserve. It consists of a three-month intensive course, with participants drawn from regional civil servants at both municipal and departmental levels.
This initiative is part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 62, issued on March 7, 2024, which endorses the “State Program for Supporting Women's Leadership in the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030” and its 2024-2027 action plan.
