From May 12 to 17, students from the Applied Geodesy Department at the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agrarian Technologies of Osh State University participated in an industrial and field internship at the Eti Bakyr Tereksai gold mine, located in the Chatkal district.
During the visit, Alp Togay, CEO of Eti Bakyr Tereksai LLC, delivered a comprehensive presentation on modern production technologies, international standards, and safety protocols. He emphasized the importance of students acquiring a deep understanding of their field and expressed the company’s willingness to collaborate with future specialists.
Throughout the internship, students gained hands-on experience in geodetic support operations at the mine. They practiced planning and marking tasks, learned to work with advanced geodetic equipment, and became familiar with various stages of surveying and geodetic work. Additionally, they received safety training and instruction in the proper use of protective gear.
The goal of the industrial and field training was to enhance students' professional preparation, boost their employability, and reinforce their commitment to the geodetic engineering profession. The internship served as a crucial opportunity for students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world production settings, deepen their practical skills, and explore various geodetic roles.
