
On May 21, the results of the country’s first national ranking of secondary vocational education institutions were announced. Leading the list was the Industrial-Pedagogical College of Osh State University, which secured the top position.
Meanwhile, the university’s Finance and Law College ranked fourth, and the Medical College also made the top ten, placing eighth.
The ranking event brought together representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, heads of vocational institutions, and other stakeholders.
This initiative aimed to enhance the competitiveness and quality of secondary vocational education across the country. The evaluation process took place over three stages, from November 10, 2024, to May 21, 2025.
Chingizbek Mamajakyp uulu, Director of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education at Osh State University, commented:
“We are pleased that three of our six colleges are among the top-ranked. Especially the first-place achievement of our Industrial-Pedagogical College is a significant milestone. This success is the result of support from the university administration and the broader community. Our focus on strengthening infrastructure, improving the learning process, developing partnerships, and enhancing student living conditions has played a key role.”
Osh State University operates a total of six colleges.
