On May 22, during an online meeting hosted by the CAREC (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation) program focused on global health, it was officially announced that Osh State University will establish a “Center of Excellence” at its Faculty of International Medicine. The meeting was attended by Roman Kalmatov, Dean of the Faculty, along with senior faculty officials.
During the session, institutions selected as “Centers of Excellence” shared their achievements and progress. Osh State University was named among the top five universities chosen from an international pool, which included institutions from China, Pakistan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan. This recognition highlights the faculty’s successful participation in the competitive international selection for the Master’s Program in Public Health.
The five selected universities will convene again on June 10 to outline future plans and coordinate efforts to establish their respective Centers of Excellence.
The CAREC program is a regional initiative aimed at promoting economic development and cooperation across Central Asia and neighboring regions. It supports collaboration in sectors such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
