
On March 20, Osh State University hosted an entertainment evening in its main building to celebrate Nooruz, welcoming city residents and guests.
The event featured a concert program, including traditional dances from the Kyrgyz, Uyghur, and Tatar cultures, performed by children from the “Kelechek” creative center in Osh. Students from the Institute of Pedagogy, Art, and Journalism showcased the traditional Sarmerden dance. A special highlight of this year’s celebration was the tushoo-cutting ceremony for children from the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies.
Additionally, students organized an exhibition of national dishes, where sumolok, the signature dish of Nooruz, was prepared and shared alongside heartfelt wishes for prosperity.
The event was coordinated by the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies. Osh State University Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov expressed his gratitude for the community’s unity and efforts in organizing the celebration. He extended his best wishes for a prosperous and successful new year for all.
The festivities continue with various sporting events.
