
Osh State University hosted the “Den Sooluk – 2025” Spartakiad, organized by the Central Committee of the Osh Regional Trade Union of Education and Science Workers. The event brought together teams from seven districts and four universities across the Osh region, competing in six different sports disciplines.
The opening ceremony featured speeches by Rustam Nurmatov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Trade Union, and Ruslan Arapbaev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at Osh State University, who both extended their best wishes to the participants.
Osh State University athletes achieved outstanding results across multiple categories. In volleyball, both the over-40 and under-40 senior teams took first place. The university’s senior team also claimed victory in the Ordo game. In mini-football, the over-40 seniors secured first place, while the under-40 team finished second.
In table tennis, the university’s male team took first place and the female team came second. In chess, the male team earned first place, with the female team again placing second. In the traditional game of Toguz Korgool, the boys secured second place, while the girls won first.
These performances earned Osh State University first place in the overall team standings. The university was followed by another Osh State University team in second place, while the Nookat team came in third. The Spartakiad was organized and conducted by the university’s professional trade union committee.
