Osh State University Students Excel at International Olympiad in Bukhara

Students from the Medical Faculty of Osh State University participated in the international medical Olympiad titled “From the Science of Abu Ali ibn Sino to the Third Renaissance,” held in Bukhara.

At the event, Dilfuza Nurmatova and Marziya Azhibayeva were awarded third-degree diplomas in the discipline “Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases,” while Gulchehra Aribzhanova secured third place in “Pediatrics.”

The Olympiad consisted of three stages, including written tests, clinical case analysis, and practical skills assessments. Over 500 students from top medical universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan took part in the competition.

The Osh State University team was guided by Kursanbek Turdubaev, head of the Department of Pediatrics 1. During the visit, Turdubaev also delivered guest lectures to students at two departments of the Bukhara State Medical Institute, focusing on “The Effect of Breast Milk on the Nervous System of Children” and “The Role of Breast Milk in a Child’s Intellectual Development.”
