On May 23, the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication at Osh State University hosted a round table and a literary-musical evening titled “The World of Literature” in celebration of Kyrgyz-Uzbek friendship.
The event featured guest lectures by scholars from the Alisher Navoi Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature (Uzbekistan). Their presentations highlighted the literary contributions of Babur, Chingiz Aitmatov, and Nazar Eshenkul, the works of Mahmud Kashgari, the integration of text analysis in foreign language instruction, and the application of multimedia tools in language teaching. Participants also shared outcomes from the joint online language teaching initiatives involving Uzbek and Kyrgyz students, conducted under a bilateral agreement.
Additionally, the parties reviewed the outcomes of their year-long collaboration and agreed on a roadmap and action plan for the 2026-2027 academic year. This plan outlines continued cooperation between the Tashkent State University and Osh State University’s Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication.
The event was organized by the Alisher Navoi Center for Uzbek Language, Literature and Culture at Osh State University, aiming to deepen cultural ties among Turkic peoples and enhance collaboration in linguistics, literary studies, and modern teaching technologies.
