Students Receive Guidance on Safety and Legal Awareness
First-year students of the Medical College of Osh State University received guidance on drug prevention, preventing violence, and improving legal awareness.
The meeting was attended by Gulmira Zhapakova, an officer of the Prevention and Public Engagement Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking; Gulbara Kulueva, Director of the Center for Family and Child Support under the Osh City Hall; and representatives of the city police.
The specialists provided students with detailed information about the use of drugs and the consequences of their illicit trafficking. They also warned students to be cautious of online offers such as “easy jobs” and “quick money,” avoid carrying out suspicious tasks from unknown individuals, and contact trusted people or relevant services if they encounter dangerous situations. In addition, students were informed about preventing all forms of violence, threats, discrimination, and psychological pressure, as well as respecting human dignity and rights.
The students also asked questions and received answers from the relevant specialists.The event aimed to help young people avoid negative social phenomena, prevent violence, and improve their legal awareness.
