Students Compete with Law Enforcement Officers
To mark September 23 – State Language Day, an intellectual competition was held between students of the Faculty of Russian Philology at Osh State University and officers of the Osh City Eastern Guard Department.
The teams competed in four challenges. Using the Kahoot platform, they identified Kyrgyz proverbs and Kyrgyz equivalents of words borrowed from foreign languages. They also identified idioms through pictures and demonstrated their creative talents.
As a result, the «Таберик» team took first place,«Мурас» second place, and «Көрөңгө» third place. The winners received diplomas, special nominations, and prizes.
The event aimed to raise the prestige of the state language, increase young people’s interest in the Kyrgyz language, and develop their speaking culture and vocabulary.
