Osh State University Student Wins Kyrgyzstan Karate Championship

On April 14-15, the Kyrgyzstan Shotokan WSF Karate Championship took place in Bishkek, bringing together participants from various institutions. Among them were seven students from Osh State University’s Medical College and one student from the Yiman Educational and Training Complex.

Odinokhan Saidova, an obstetrics student, emerged as the champion by securing first place in her weight category. Other notable achievements included second-place finishes by pharmaceutical students Tunukay Taabaldy kyzy, Kanykey Koldoshalieva, and Bermet Narmyrzaeva. Munarbek Miyzamidinov, also from the Medical College, and Adina Mitalipova from Yiman took third place.

The students were trained by Nurdoolot Rysbekov, a college instructor and honored karate coach, who has been mentoring young athletes since 2024.

The championship was organized by the Agency for Physical Education and Sports.
