OshSU Scientists Raise Climate Awareness
Project leaders of Osh State University's internal grant projects, Associate Professors Abdizhapar Akkulov, Elmurat Obdunov, Zuvaida Sherbaeva, Venera Ermatova, and Roza Shaimkulova, provided information to local residents of Suzak District, Jalal-Abad Region, on climate change adaptation.
During the meeting titled "Climate Change and the Role of the Local Community", held in the district, they presented the results of their scientific research and emphasized the importance of cooperation between science and local communities in ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources and promoting sustainable development.
The representatives of Osh State University also highlighted that active public participation, increasing environmental awareness, and engaging young people in environmental protection initiatives are among the key priorities for building a greener future.
The event was organized within the framework of the "CLIMPSE – Climate, Peace and Security" project implemented by the FTI Foundation.
