The lecture will be read by Santha Istvan, a famous Turkologist, Professor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, PhD.In his report he will reveal the goals of Hungarian research in Kyrgyzstan, in particular on Southern Kyrgyzstan. There will also be an overview of 5 years of collaborative research with David Somfai Kara in Central Asia, with a focus on Kyrgyzstan. The lecture will include a short film about Turgan Berdike uulu, who went to Hungary in 1906 to help Durd Almasy, who translated Kyrgyz eposes, and about the search for his traces (Turgan Berdike uulu) in Kyrgyzstan. The talk will conclude with a story about the project of collecting music and sounds, which subsequently create sound pictures of Southern Siberia, Northern and Southern Turkestan.
